ACMA SA Committee Attends Farewell Reception for Consul General Li Dong
The Australian Chinese Medical Association South Australia (ACMA SA) committee was honoured to attend the farewell reception for Mr Li Dong, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Adelaide.
Held on 11 June 2026, the elegant reception provided a warm and dignified occasion to reflect on the strong Australia–China relationship and to thank Consul General Li Dong for his dedicated service in South Australia. The event was attended by government representatives, community leaders and friends of the Chinese Consulate-General, creating a genuine atmosphere of respect and friendship.
Highlights of the Evening
Hon. Joe Szakacs MP, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, representing the Hon. Premier of South Australia, delivered remarks and presented Consul General Li Dong with a special token of appreciation in recognition of his contributions to bilateral relations.
Consul General Li Dong addressed the gathering, reflecting on his time in Adelaide and the importance of continued people-to-people connections. The presence of the Australian and Chinese national flags side-by-side throughout the venue beautifully symbolised the mutual respect and partnership between our two nations.
